Directions

A. From the north (London & Croydon, M23)

1.   Take the M23 south to Junction 10A.  You can only exit the M23 heading south at Jtn 10A.

2.   At the roundabout off the motorway slip road, turn right and go back over the M23 on the Balcombe Road (B2036), past the Gatwick Europa hotel on your right.

3.   Go straight over the next roundabout on the Balcombe Road , ignoring the first entrance into Maidenbower ( Lucerne Drive ).

4.   Proceed on the same road (B2036) up the hill and around the bend.  Turn left into Maidenbower Drive at the next roundabout.

5.   Go down the hill (over speed bumps) to the next roundabout; turn right into Harvest Road (sign for Baptist Church ), past the schools, across the roundabout, and into Maidenbower Square .

6.   Follow the one way system left round the square; the church building is on the third corner, after the doctor’s surgery and next to a nursery.

B. From the south ( Brighton , M23)

1.   Take the M23 north to Junction 10 (where you can either leave the motorway and follow the instructions below, or return south on the motorway to Junction 10A and follow the instructions from A.1 above).

2.   If you leave the motorway at Jtn 10, take the first exit (sign-posted Crawley ) and follow the dual-carriageway (A2011) to the first big roundabout (which has a flyover).

3.   Take the first exit (before going under the flyover) into Hazelwick Avenue ; follow signs for Three Bridges and Maidenbower.

4.   Join the traffic coming over the flyover, go past Tesco (on left), and straight on (down Hazelwick Avenue still) at the next roundabout.

5.   Proceed to traffic lights at Three Bridges (across from the rail station), take the left hand lane and turn left on to Haslett Avenue .

6.   You will turn right immediately after the railway bridge ahead of you so – as you go past the train station on your right and approach the traffic lights just before the bridge – move to the right hand lane.  Go under the railway bridge and shift right another lane for a right turn into Station Hill.

7.   Proceed along this road (lots of speed bumps from here on), which becomes Billinton Drive .

8.   At the first roundabout, turn left into Maidenbower Drive , then left at the next roundabout into Harvest Road , past the schools, across the roundabout, and into Maidenbower Square .

9.   Follow the one way system round the square.  The church building is on the third corner, after the doctor’s surgery and next to a nursery.

C. From the south-east (Cuckfield & Haywards Heath, B2036)

1.   Take the B2036 (also called Balcombe Road ) north through Balcombe towards Crawley until you cross over the M23, going past the Gatwick Europa hotel on your right.

2.   Follow the directions from A.3 above to continue your journey to the church building.

D. From the east ( East Grinstead , A22 or A264)

1.   Head into East Grinstead from either the A22 (Eastbourne direction) or the A264 (Tunbridge Wells direction) and follow the one way system round the town to come out on the A264 heading toward Copthorne and Crawley .  Stay on the A264 (don’t head north on the A22!) and continue towards Crawley until you reach Copthorne.

2.   As you pass Copthorne on your right, you will come to a roundabout.  The first exit (hard left) takes you to a country club.  Take the second exit ( Copthorne Road , A2220).  If you miss this, go straight on down the A264 until you cross the M23, and follow the directions from B.2 above to reach the church building.

3.   Head down Copthorne Road (A2220) past a garden centre on your right.  You will soon see the M23 beneath you; keep going until you come to a roundabout.

4.   Turn left (first exit) on to Balcombe Road (B2036).  Go straight down the Balcombe Road over two mini-roundabouts close to each other.

5.   At the next roundabout turn right (second exit) into Maidenbower Drive .

6.   Follow the directions from A.5 above to get to the church building.

E. From the west (Horsham, A264)

1.   Take the A264 towards Crawley .

2.   Just before you reach Crawley , follow the A264 as it branches off at a roundabout (third exit) on the South Western Bypass.  Do not follow the Horsham Road (A2220) into Crawley (if you do, there are roundabouts where you can turn back to the bypass).

3.   Head down the bypass until you come to the major junction with the A23 back into Crawley and the M23.  Take the second exit to head north up the M23 towards Junction 10.

4.   Follow the directions from B.1 above to reach the church building.

Rail travel

If travelling by rail, please make your way to Three Bridges Station and follow the instructions from B.6 above; the church is a 20 minute walk from the station, and there are taxis available outside the station.
